imageIf you were to ask some people what is life all about for them there is a great deal of chance that they will give to you the following answer : “love”. No matter how many movies, songs and people will tell me that love really is the motor of human life, I think I will never be able to share this point of view. For me, love is just another aspect of the real dynamic of life: POWER.

I know that in our modern muzzled societies this term is a dirty word and that to claim out loud to wanting it can be considerate as shocking and inappropriate. Power is everything and everywhere. Depending on who we are, we possess - or long for - social, political, economical or inner powers.

TIME TO LET GO : SUPER 8

imageEvery tuesday I get to see a movie for free at the cinema because of a special deal my bestfriend got at this work. You can imagine how pleased I am about this and how fast I run in the streets to be sure to be there on time to catch all the trailers they show before the film. No matter how old I get, I know I will never get bored of sitting in a cinema, eating pop-corns and enjoying this feeling of excitment that comes from waiting for the movie to begin. I guess it is in my DNA as I know that my dad literally grew up in my grand-father’s cinema in Alger. I have no doubt about the joy that the whole experience will keep on providing me

But, to be honest, something has been worrying me: I have lost my faith in Hollywood. I talk about Hollywood because I love American movies. I have absolutely no shame about it. Why should I ? But this is another debate I don’t intend to get into here. So you see I should be beyond glad to see for free all the Hollywood movies that are out this summer but honestly I am not. I am not because I have this scary feeling that I won’t like them. Worse, that I won’t care about them. I have stopped hating movies since that big disappointment that Black Swan was for me.
